Portable Power Tools

It is almost impossible nowadays to not own some power tools. Especially now with the development of battery powered cordless tools. Battery powered tools are now indispensible for a woodworker, especially when working on job sites away from the shop.

There are basic set of portable tools that every shop needs. Depending on the size of the shop, there will be many example of the same tool.

Multiples

Try to think for the future when buying these power tools. Purchasing tools of the same model or brand will save you hassle, if all the battery packs you have will fit every tool.

Over time, it may be more efficient to have two drills, for example, that are equiped with two different bits, than to constantly change bits for a single drill.

Purchasing Considerations

Once again, do not buy cheap tools, stick with quality brands. Well built tools may cost a more, but they will save you money n the long run. Know which tools are of good quality ahead of time and watch for the sales if you know you will will need an extra drill in the near future. Look through catalogs to get informed about the products that you might need to purchase.
