Woodworking Business Marketing (pg 2)

Effective networking

One of the most effective marketing tools is networking. Networking is getting your company name out to the people that are most likely to buy your product. Perhaps an association or group already exists that can help you promote your business in an effective way.

Building credibility

Of course, if you are new to a market, you will have to establish your credibility first before there is an acceptance of your product or service. You need to let people know that you are a reliable person providing a reliable product.

The easiest way is to find work is through referrals. Of course this means that you already have some clients. After dealing with a satisfied client, make sure you ask if they know anyone who will also need your services or help your business.

You must advertise yourself as well. The more people who know who you are, the more chances that you will be called upon. Join a local business chapter. Your active presence in the community will definately pay off in increased sales.

Be creative

You want to be as creative as possible when it comes to marketing your company. Look at what your competitors are doing for advertising. Can you think of any way that you may be able to generate attention for your company that they are not doing? Anything you can do to generate interest in you and your company should be considered. Remember, your goal is to be known as the local expert in your field. That way, customers will always think of you first. The more creative you are, and the more focused on your customers you are, the more successful you’re likely to be.
